How Scan2Calendar Works
Scan2Calendar uses AI to extract events from your documents and add them to your calendar in a few simple steps. Here's how it works.
1. Capture
Upload an image or take a photo of your schedule, event poster, or text message. We support work schedules with multiple people, single-event flyers (concerts, meetups, etc.), and event details shared via text message.
2. Analyze
Click "Analyze Document" and our AI (powered by Google Gemini) extracts dates, times, locations, and event descriptions from your image. The app automatically detects whether you have a work schedule, event poster, or text message.
3. Select
For work schedules with multiple people, choose whose events you want to add to your calendar. You can select one person or multiple. This step is skipped for event posters and text messages, which typically contain a single set of events.
4. Review
Review the extracted events. You can edit dates, times, titles, and descriptions, or add and remove events. AI results may not be 100% accurate, so we recommend checking all details before exporting.
5. Export
Add events directly to Google Calendar (requires sign-in) or download an .ics file. The .ics format works with Apple Calendar, Outlook, Yahoo Calendar, and most other calendar applications.
Supported Formats
- Work schedules — Shift schedules, rosters, and multi-person calendars
- Event posters — Flyers for concerts, meetups, workshops, and other single events
- Text messages — Event details shared via chat or messaging apps
Privacy & Security
